How to Make a Gift to Hospice

For more than a quarter of a century, Hospice has provided medical care, emotional and spiritual support to patients and families confronting advanced illness. There are many ways you can help Hospice continue to provide its essential services to others in our community. Your gift to the Hospice Foundation supports care for those at the end of life and their loved ones. Hospice care is based on the patient's need, not their ability to pay.

The Hospice Foundation is a qualified charitable organization. All gifts to the Foundation
are tax deductible as provided by law.

Tribute Gifts to Hospice

Remembering people keeps their spirits alive in our hearts.  You can remember or honor someone with your donation to Hospice.  An acknowledgment of your gift will be sent to the person(s) whom you requested without reference to the size of the gift. Gifts of $50 or more will be recognized in our quarterly newsletter, Journeys.

  1. Make check payable to: Hospice Foundation
  2. If it is a Tribute gift, please include a note indicating who the gift is in memory/honor of and the name and address of the family member you wish us to notify of your donation (the amount is never mentioned)

Other Giving Opportunities

Hospice Does Not Conduct Telephone Solicitations
The Hospice Foundation of WNY has recently received calls from our donors and constituents informing us that they are receiving telephone and mail solicitations seeking support for hospice patients in the Western New York service area. Cancer Support Services in Dearborn, Michigan and the Hospice Education Institure, Machiasport, Maine are conducting such solicitations. Please be aware that Hospice Buffalo (Hospice Foundation of WNY), does not receive funding from these organizations. Furthermore, the Hospice Foundation of WNY does not conduct telephone solicitations. Please do not hesitate to call the Hospice Foundation at 686-8090, should you have any questions or concerns.
