Your gift to the Hospice Foundation helps us provide medical, emotional and spiritual support to patients, who are confronting advanced illness, and their families. Although hospice receives some reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid and most commercial insurers, many Hospice Buffalo programs are underfunded or not funded at all by these sources. Your gift will help ensure that all our programs including charity care, bereavement services, music therapy, volunteer training, and clinical education programs will continue.

The Hospice Foundation is a qualified charitable organization. All gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible as provided by law.

Tribute Gifts to Hospice

You can remember or honor someone with your gift to Hospice. An acknowledgment of your gift will be sent to the person(s) whom you requested without reference to the size of the gift. Gifts of $50 or more will be recognized in our quarterly newsletter, Journeys.

    • If it is a Tribute gift, please indicate who the gift is in memory/honor of and the name and address of the family member you wish us to notify of your donation (Please note we do not reference the gift amount to the family)

Other Giving Opportunities

Hospice Does Not Conduct Telephone Solicitations
In the past, Cancer Support Services in Dearborn, Michigan and the Hospice Education Institute, Machiasport, Maine have conducted phone solicitations referencing hospice care. Please be aware that Hospice Buffalo (Hospice Foundation of WNY) does not receive funding from these organizations.
